I read the latest darktable now has completely customizable module groups in the UI, so together with some defaults I was thinking to try it out if I'll be happy with the workflow there as a replacement. net being installed (at least using winetricks), which is required for dxo, so I haven't succeeded in making it work any better I'm afraid but continued dual booting into windows. I haven't been able to try it properly a few versions back wine-staging (or maybe it was even mainline wine?) introduced a bug that prevents. Please let me know if you try it and find simpler or better ways (with GPU/direct x working) to make it work!

Worth noting is that when using a “dirty” wineprefix where I had played around with different directx/dxvk didn’t work so use a clean new one.Īlso the system and drivers might be a factor, I use kubuntu 19.10, have a nvidia 1070 with the 330 driver and an intel skylake CPU (6700k, yeah yeah I’ll upgrade with the next ryzen generation, last one was fine but no ssd vendors really used pcie4 to its full extent so waiting for the next one).

I also managed to get DXO Optics Pro 11 to work in a similar way. So far I think it uses CPU only so it’s kind of slow but I will try different direct x variants…dxvk seems to crash it for me, but will try variants of OS setting, net version and direct x drivers installed with winetricks.

Yes it takes some time to understand PL as it behaves different to adobe and c1 but to use it only to apply deepPrime and lens corrections is not that difficult. I recommend PL over pureRAW because I often see the need to change deepPrime settings or had to adjust the lens correction values, impossible with pureRaw, for optimal quality.
